Supplemental Indian Education Program Modernization Act of 2017

Enroll in Johnson O'Malley (JOM) Services

To be eligible for services through the Johnson O'Malley (JOM) program at Broken Arrow Public Schools, students must be enrolled in the district, and parents must:

  1. Complete the 506 form
     
  2. Send the completed 506 form with signature and an image of the student's Tribal membership card to Ashley Gragg at agragg@mcalester.k12.ok.us or by mail to:

Enrollment in the program does not obligate a student to participate.

Cultural / Stem Summer School

The JOM program offers a cultural summer school session to students in grades 4th through 6th. This class allows students to experience native culture through field trips, arts and crafts, languages, activities, literature and traditional foods.

 

Basic School Supplies for Grades Pre-K through 12

With a large Native American student populations, each year McAlester Public Schools hosts an annual Indian Education school supply distribution event for eligible students at the beginning of the new school year. Students must be enrolled in the JOM program in order to be eligible for free school supplies.

Please call the office at 918-918-423-4776 and set an appointment if you missed the school supplies makeup day. School supplies are not held at the office so we are unable to have them ready without an appointment.
