Welcome to the 2025-2026 MPS Enrollment Page

Welcome to the MPS Enrollment Page for the 2025–2026 school year! Whether you are enrolling a new or returning student, we’re here to guide you through the process.

For new students, start by clicking on the “New Students” tab below.

Returning students can complete enrollment through the PowerSchool Parent Portal located in the “Returning Students” tab below.

If your child requires prescription medication at school, print the necessary forms, have them signed by a physician, and submit them to the school.

Need help or don’t have access to a computer? Visit the MPS Enrollment Center throughout the summer or the Centralized Enrollment at the McAlester Activity Center on designated dates. You’ll also find helpful resources, including forms and video tutorials, to make enrollment easy and straightforward located in each respective tab below.

Let’s get started on a successful school year!

 

  • New Student Enrollment Link

    Here are the steps to follow to enroll your NEW student:

    1. Complete PowerSchool enrollment by clicking on the New Student Enrollment image above. 
    2. Click the “Create Account” button. Fill in your profile information. (If you don’t have an email, create one on Google or Yahoo.
    3. Once your account is set up, add all your students to the account.
    4. Carefully read all the instructions provided on the Introduction page.
    5. Go through each section and answer every question thoroughly.
    6. After answering, check the “Summary” page. Ensure each section displays a green check mark indicating it’s fully completed.
    7. Once everything is complete and verified, click “submit” to finalize the registration.
    8. Once all forms are completed and submitted, your child will be enrolled for the 2025-2026 school year unless a transfer is needed. 
    9. If a transfer is needed, you will need to visit our MPS Student Transfers Page and follow the steps to apply for a transfer. 

    If your child will need to bring prescription medication to school, you will need to print these forms, have them signed by a physician and returned to the school.  

    The following items will need to be uploaded during the enrollment process or brought to either the Enrollment Center or Centralized Enrollment: 

    • Birth Certificate
    • Utility Bill: Water, Gas, Electric or Rental Lease displaying a “Service Address” (This serves as verification of the physical address of the enrolling student.)
    • Immunization Record or a completed and signed exemption form
    • Student/Parent/Grandparent CDIB Card OR Tribal Membership Card (If applicable)

    • MPS Enrollment Center (200 E. Adams) is open from 8:30-3:30 on Monday – Thursday during the months of June and July. 
    • MPS Centralized Enrollment located at the McAlester Activity Center (1717 E. Van Buren) will be available on:
      • July 23rd from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM
      • July 24th from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM

    Here are the steps to enroll your RETURNING student:

    1. Complete PowerSchool enrollment by clicking on the Parent Portal link above. If you do not know your PowerSchool login, please call your child's school office to obtain it.
    2. Choose “Returning Student Registration (2025-2026)” at the bottom-left of “Navigation”.
    3. Carefully read all the instructions provided on the Introduction page.
    4. Go through each section and answer every question thoroughly.
    5. Before completing the process, you MUST upload a current utility bill with a “Service Address” matching the address on your enrollment documents. (This serves as verification of the physical address of the enrolling student.)
    6. After answering, check the “Summary” page. Ensure each section displays a green check mark indicating it’s fully completed.
    7. Once everything is complete and verified, click “Submit” to finalize the registration.
    8. Once all forms are completed and submitted, your child will be enrolled for the 2025-2026 school year unless a transfer is required. 
    9. TRANSFERS:
      • If your child had a transfer for the 2024-2025 school year and you were not notified of a denail to contine the transfer, and the sending district information has not changed, you do not need to submit a new transfer request.
      • If your child did not have on a transfer for the 2024-2025 school year and now requires one, please visit our MPS Student Transfers Page to follow the application process.
