Edmond Doyle Named National Blue Ribbon School

Posted Date: 09/21/2021

Congratulations to Mrs. Kathy Hunt, the faculty and the staff at Edmond Doyle Elementary. This morning Edmond Doyle was announced as one of the 2021 National Blue Ribbon Schools by the United State Department of Education.

Edmond Doyle was also previously recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School in 2014.

The National Blue Ribbon Schools Program recognizes outstanding public and non-public schools. In identifying several hundred outstanding schools annually, the program celebrates school excellence, turn around stories, and closing subgroup achievement gaps.  The Award is both a high aspiration and a potent resource of practitioner knowledge.

Now in its 38th year, the National Blue Ribbon Schools Program has bestowed almost 10,000 awards to more than 9,000 schools, with some schools winning multiple awards. National Blue Ribbon Schools represent the full diversity of American schools: public schools including charter schools, magnet/choice schools, Title I schools, and non-public schools including parochial and independent schools. They are urban, suburban, and rural, large and small, traditional and innovative, and serve students of every social, economic, and ethnic background.
